Who is Ivan Lenin?

"Ivan Lenin" is a unique political comedy act, performed by a Vladimir Lenin look-alike Ivan Leonov, an emigre from Belarus.

The character, Ivan Lenin, is the founder and fearless leader of the Party of Goodness and Justice, who is running for President of the USA. Ivan considers himself an incarnation of the great Russian revolutionary, and he is determined to defeat "the bi-partisan political monopoly", and bring blood-sucking parasites from high places to justice. 

The act includes a rousing speech adressed to the masses, the announcement of Lenin's "Five Step Plan To Fix America", and even live songs, such as "Communist Redneck Hip Hop Orchestra" and "All the Good People Unite".

The act draws upon Ivan's experience growing up in the Soviet Union in the times of Perestroyka, as well as his years in America as a college student, a computer programmer, a political activist, and an artist. It is a unique and exciting, intercultural blend of comedy, political commentary, story-telling, and music, that is meant to entertain and make people laugh, and at the same time to encourage them to think about politics in new and unconventional ways.
